Dr Lottie Chapman

“Thank you for visiting this page, I hope it will give you an idea of my approach and help you decide whether that might be a good fit for you.

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist in adult mental health, which means I am a doctor who has gained experience through a wide range of mental health jobs and who has completed psychiatry higher specialty training and examinations. I’ve been focussed on mental health for the past 15+ years.

I work in a psychologically-informed way, informed by a belief that harnessing and developing your internal resources, strengths and skills is key. I have made the decision to no longer prescribe. Typically, I will ask you about your difficulties, then about your life experiences and environments. We will try to make sense of how and why your mental health problems have arisen, and what might be keeping them going. We will then explore your goals and identify areas for possible intervention and positive change.”
